‘’OUR CHURCH. OUR RESPONSIBILITY.”

OUR MISSION is about sharing God’s love with people around the corner and around the world. We are a loving, caring congregation and we love to volunteer! Our members are actively helping anywhere they can: at local food pantries, in hospitals, in schools, preparing meals for the homeless and packaging meals for children in third world countries.

We are a very giving church: we collect food, school supplies and medical supplies for the ministries we support. At any given time, when there is a need, our congregation comes through overwhelmingly with special offerings. We regularly support mission causes though Central Florida Presbytery and The Outreach Foundation.

Through our offerings, we support the following important ministries as well:

Agape Ministries in Eustis, operating a food bank, offering financial assistance, and connecting people in crisis to appropriate community resources.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes North Lake County, engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and student athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

Forward Paths in Leesburg, helping homeless unaccompanied youths and young adults who age out of foster care, by giving aid in acquiring housing, transportation, job skills and other needed services.

Good News Prison Ministry in Tavares, helping inmates find Christ and grow spiritually in the Lake County jail.

Lake Cares Food Pantry in Mount Dora, serving people in need–their mission statement is to “Feed the Body, Educate the Mind and Lift the Spirits of all Individuals.”

Open Door in Eustis, linking homeless individuals and families to desperately needed amenities and services, and assisting in securing safe, affordable housing and support.

Holistic Evangelism in Tete Province, Mozambique sharing God’s love in word and deed in many ways including church-planting, building churches, schools, and clinics, digging wells and promoting health ministries to help meet the needs of people spiritually and physically.

Servants Heart Ministry feeding communities and empowering lives.  Unlike a food pantry, we train and equip individuals and local organizations on how to serve the need and bring accountability to their circumstances.

Beth-El Farmworker Ministries Feeding the Mind, Spirit, and Body of the farmworking community and our neighbors in need, through opportunities for hunger relief, education, healthcare, and spiritual growth.

Hand in Hand Faith-based Addiction Recovery.

The Lifeboat Project battles human trafficking.

Haven of Lake and Sumter Counties Serving Victims of Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Since 1977.

These are all projects overseen by our Mission Committee and our Presbyterian Women.

We love missions at FPCMD!
