8:45 am – Multipurpose Room
Beginning Sunday January 17 and continuing through February, the adult SS class will study lessons from two of the Ray Vander Laan series entitled “With All of Your Heart” and “The Path to the Cross.” We will see how God would live among His chosen people and how that intimate relationship would prepare them to be His faithful witnesses to the entire world. As we better understand God’s revealed mission through the Israelites, we will better understand God’s purpose for our own lives today.
The first lesson will be about how the Israelites built the tabernacle, where God’s presence would live among them. The title for this week’s lesson is “Making Space for God.” After the Israelites escaped from Egypt and crossed the Red Sea, they made their way to the base of Mt. Sinai. God gave Moses the 10 Commandments while the people camped. Then God instructed the Israelites to construct the tabernacle, a portable sanctuary where His presence would live among them. It would take 9 months to construct it. The people brought offerings to God to furnish the tabernacle.

Each lesson is independent and there is no problem if one has to miss a lesson. I hope you can join us for these lessons led by Ray Vander Laan, whose enthusiasm for the Bible is joyful and extremely contagious! If you would like to participate by Zoom and you have questions about how to join a Zoom meeting, let us know ahead of time so we can help you with the process.—- Berry Long
